1. Changes:
Moodswings and life-changes are afoot for the mother in the house, a poor Annie deals with menopause. Simon goes for his drivers licence, gets it and is also roused at by Eric for hitchhiking. Lucy is thinking of starting at the Kolbel Seminary where her father attended, after deciding on how to get her life together, after alot of thinking she breaks off her short engagement with Jeremy in New York, decides not go to college in New York, then comes back to Glenoak to stay and while back at home inside her room, she sobs and won't tell anyone what's going wrong.. then she finds comfort from Robbie and Robbie is turning to her for comfort after Mary takes off with Wilson leaving Robbie to mope around the house longing for Mary to come back to him, this is getting Eric alittle worried but he trys his hardest to set things straight but all Robbie is doing, is being a big brother to Lucy. Mary leaves Glenoak with Wilson to go to New York. She's considering her future career in public service and in order of trying it out, Wilson and her even start talking about marriage but her own issues get her down and although Matt has such a short length of time before he's able to attend a medical school, he loses his job at the hospital and finds a new job at a free clinic. Ruthie begins the early stages of womenhood and is told she needs a bra. Overall Annie and Eric just try and juggle their lives with all the life-changes their encountering.
2. Teased:
Simon stands up for a boy that's being bullied but is shocked and worried when the same boy tells Simon he is going to shoot his tormentors. Robbie comes up with a playful nickname for Ruthie, then Ruthie comes up with a not-so-pleasant one for Lucy. Marys interviews for a job don't go so well and Eric is entirely surprised when he get's an unexpected visit from his long-time-ago female friend Muriel otherwise introduced as 'Bird'. (played by female actress, Morgan Fairchild).
3. Sympathy:
Annie accepts Robbie's offer of renting the room above the garage, the same one Lucy and Matt had their eyes on, then Lucy and Annie think about hiring an unemployed carpenter to work on it, they do and then the carpenter fakes an injury that puts both Eric and the church in hotwater. Simon has told his whole family about a girl he'd met on the bus and that he'd crossed ideas about dating her. Everyone then wanted to see just who this girl was, once they did, a 16yr old pregnant girl was revealed but her past has more than what meets the eye. (played by young female actress Marisa Theodore).
4. Work:
Annie just won't give Eric the time of day when he makes so many attempts to arrange a romantic evening with her. Matt announces he would like to be a gynecologist and get's quite concerned when he discovers the same woman dropping by his new clinic, meanwhile Robbie sets Lucy up on a date with one of his friends, Simon's poor people skills and tardiness lands his job at the pizza parlor in total jeapardy and Wilson proposes to Mary.
5. Relationships:
Annie inadvertently gives a student bad advice when she begins teaching, Mary has a firefighter take an interest in her which distracts her from Wilsons previous proposal, Simon becomes attracted to a girl who's dating his friend and Cheryl looks up to Eric for guidance in her relationship, however she misinterprets his input. Robbie tells Lucy how he really feels about her.
6. Broken:
Robbie and Lucy fight over who's going to tell Mary about their new-found relationship, Mary is trying to patch things up with Wilson after being caught with another man, Aunt Julie turns up with her child to ask Eric for marital counselling. Meanwhile she annoys Annie who's trying to prepare a lesson for her class and Matt is concerned about a young lady when he suspects she is suffering from physical abuse. Mary ends up coming home.
7. Prodigal:
The whole family is surprised to see Mary back at home and she's there to stay, but she won't tell anyone about her and Wilson. Anyhow, Annie is the most delighted of her presence and even goes out of her way to welcome and comfort her. However, Ruthie is alittle annoyed at Mary's surprise show-up to stay as she feels Mary should of made a great apology to the family for the previous time she had left the house. And Lucy finally tells Mary about her and Robbie's new-found feelings for oneanother.
8. Ay Carumba:
Lucy, Ruthie, Matt & Simon are forced to exile from the garage apartment when Annie decides to give it to Mary, then voting becomes the solution and each member thrives for ownership. Mary and Lucy have it at eachother when they hear Robbie has met a new girl (played by Joy Enriquez). Meanwhile, Robbie suffers nerves about meeting his new girlfriend's parents.
9. Lost:
Mary and Lucy are so eager to land themselves new boyfriends, who'll be potential husbands, they ask their parents to find one for them. and Matt, along with Simon, decide to use the twin brothers as a chick magnet. Meanwhile, Joy and Robbie argue over spending too much time together because Joy insists on seeing Robbie right away all the time.
10. Consideration:
Grandpa Jackson has made a surprising visit to the Camden family and Eric forgot to tell Annie about it. However, everyone in the house is alittle too busy to be involved in Grandpa Jacksons stay, except Simon ofcourse, Grandpa Jackson takes Simon out to get his learners permit, they end up being recorded on a slow-speed police chase video that airs on tv. Meanwhile, Eric heads out on a 'secret mission for church business' at the Glenoak hospital.
11. Pathetic:
Annie decides to quit her job at the private school without discussing her decision with Eric first. Mary tries to contact Wilson, but is told by the landlord that Wilson moved out from his apartment. Matt's car is smashed when Simon borrows Robbie's car to practice his driving. Ronald, Robbie's brother stops by the Camden house for a visit and Ben drops an unexpected visit on Mary.
12. Suspicion:
The Camden's help Ruthie's young friend in an examination of religious intolerance and after many item's disappear from the household, the family finds Ruthie entertaining her friend with them. Ruthie then explains to the family that she has been hiding her friend from a pair of older boy's who had been harrasing her because of her Muslim background. In a chance to avoid the ongoing harrasment, Mary and Lucy design a petition for their neighbours to sign in order of more support for the young girl's family. Matt and Simon decide to go alittle uncivilised and end up hunting the culprit's down themselves.
13. Drunk:
A senior promises to take care of Simon while out at a party and using that promise, Simon convinces his parents to let him go but things don't go according to plan. Matt is worried about opening some letters that he received from two different medical schools. Meanwhile, Mary and Lucy take the same classes at a nearby college.
14. Hot Pants:
Annie tries planning a surprise romantic Valentines for Eric, but the whole thing backfires and turns into a huge fight. Matt goes out to seek his old girlfriends and to ask why they're no longer together in a relationship. Meanwhile, Mary and Lucy go out and get their own suprising run-ins with their old boyfriends and notice they're happily dating other girls.
15. I Really Do:
Matt is determined to find a fiancé to settle down with, especially before heading off to med school. Meanwhile, during his search for the perfect girl to marry, a co-worker by the name of Sarah Glass catches Matt's eye and it turns out that she's the daughter of Rabbi and Rosina Glass. Anyhow, the attraction leads into a few dates, the second of which is when Matt meets Sarah's folks. But not everything goes well, now that her parents are put off from liking Matt, they just aren't too keen on his religious side. Then to make matters worse, the two lovebirds spend the whole night out and may of gotten hitched which helps the tension in the air really rise. Ruthie tells Matt not to do "anything stupid" in trying to give her older brother some advice.
16. I Really Did: Eric becomes extremely worried that his son has done something foolish, when Matt stays out all night with Sarah, Annie comes to the rescue and tries to calm down her husband as much as she can. Meanwhile, Lucy and Mary suspect Ruthie knows more to Matt's night out so they search for their younger sister in order to get some unknown info. Directed by: Stephen Collins. This episode is the third that Stephen's directed.
17. Lip Service: The family is getting ready for a Shabbat dinner at the Glasses while Annie whips up a few Jewish dishes of her own. Lucy schemes to stay home with Robbie while Simon considers taking along his friend, Morris. After, Matt considers converting to Judaism which sets Annie and Eric right off, they get confused and concerned with their son.
18. The Ring: Lucy thinks she and Mary are going to Buffalo for the weekend, but Mary has other plans. Lucy loses her bag and as she goes looking for it, she has Mary take care of her make-up bag but while Lucy is searching, Mary loses the make-up bag, in the end, Lucy gets caught talking to a guy named Kevin, who turns out to be Ben's brother. In the end, Lucy's dating Kevin and Mary's dating Ben. Meanwhile, Sarah and Matt have a disagreement about buying an engagement ring. Matt ends up buying a fake ring and when Annie finds out, she gives Matt her mothers old ring and tells him to give it to Sarah.
19. Letting Go: Eric becomes baffled as he catches Mary and Lucy in the kitchen with two guys during the middle of the night. Mary uses her guest-passes to take the guys home but they end up spending the night in the Camden's living room where Mary, Lucy and Annie accompany them. Ben and Kevin's sister, Patty-Mary rings her brothers up to tell them that their mother is dating her neighbor. When Eric thinks Ruthie is hiding a secret, he assumes it's about Matt and Sarah being married already. During the night, the twins dissappear from their cribs into bed. An upset couple speak to Eric for advice on letting go of their middle aged son. Their son's name is Jeromiah, he's getting married to a lady named Kathleen and they've already adopted a girl named Katie. Guest Stars: Charlie Brill and Mitzi McCall.
20. The Known Soldier: A late soldier by the name of Staff Sgt. Morgan, is remembered by the Camden family when Colonel John Camden hosts a moving memorial service. It gets them doing things, funding money for the service, laying flowers on the veterans graves and helping the elderly and the homeless. There's an even sadder note to this, the soldier was a good friend to Ruthie who he'd email prior to his death, so Colonel John Camden decided he'd break the dreadful news to his grandchild. Robbie is cut off on the freeway by a car that is covered in the US flag. Instead of gaining anger for the driver, Robbie hands him another flag in honor of a US Marine that died in Afghanistan.
The episode (above) is special. VERY special!. It is dedicated to Staff Sgt. Morgan and other soldiers who got injured or died while fighting against terrorism. This is the second episode produced in honor of the september 11 attacks. It guest stars Ernest Borgnine, CeCe Winans, Teresa Morgan, Alex Morgan, Joe Morgan, Mary Trimmer and Chip Willett. At the end of this episode is a list of all who lost their lives fighting against terrorism, look out for those names.
21. Holy War - Part 1: Eric, Matt and Rabbi Glass meet up to discuss Matt and Sarah's wedding plans and Eric learns that his part in it is much smaller than he had anticipated. Meanwhile, Simon believes Matt will ask him to be his best man at the wedding and Ruthie ends up telling Robbie that she would like his room after Matt moves out.
22. Holy War - Part 2: Sarah and Matt are upset over Eric's decision to not attend the nuptials following an argument he had with Rabbi. By asking their mothers for advice, they hope to mend the situation before it's too late. Eventually, Annie and Rosina convince their husbands to go call on the wedding and accept Jewish and Christian vows into the service. Meanwhile, Robbie finally works out why Ruthie wants him to move out of the house. Later, the Camden family farewell their oldest son/brother off. Matt leaves Glenoak for Med school in New York at Columbia University. Note: This is Barry Watson's last episode as a regular cast member for the show.
