Behind the Story BEHIND THE STORY:
It all began in August on the 26th, 1996. The WB Network had allowed only 13 episodes to start the show off with but as soon as the viewer count climbed and the show grew to the critics, the WB Network renewed it to a full season of 22 episodes. Even that wasn't enough for the fans so the network also decided to air the show on Sunday nights called 7th Heaven: Beginnings. The fan base of this show increased rapidly, that it became WB's most-watched show. Beating both 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' and 'Dawson's Creek' in show ratings.

A very loving and caring church minister supporting and being equally supported by, his dear wife, Annie, a courageous, strong ambitioned, hard working woman who never stops caring for her family, loved by their 7 children, eldest son Matt, a determined med-school student, advice-giving older brother whose very protective of his family and a newlywed to his dear wife, Sarah, older brother for Mary, a strong achiever, a bubbly young woman whose always striving for love and to better herself, older sister to Lucy, a strong believer, a helping-hand, a supporter and carer, a dreamer and a young woman who enjoys making people happy and does it with her own personality, older sister to Simon, a quiet achiever, a thinker, a strategical person who uses his talent for the better, a great mate and someone you can count on to help you, much like his father and very intelligent, older brother to Ruthie, a cheerful, bubbly young lady, whose alert, intelligent, also a thinker, an analyzer, a great friend and uses her talents also for the better, well most of the time, she tries her best. The twins, youngest boys in the Camden sibling generation who are still young and do what kids do, their vocabulary is growing as their height stretches, an obstacle at times for the parents but their loved just as much as any other Camden and continously cared for by their loving family.

The Camden family, reside in Glenoak which is a southern california town, a loving community that has it's moments just as any other but in the end only love matters to them all. We see the trials and tribulations of a loving and caring family who reach out everyday to other people in order to make each one's life better (including their own). We see the Camdens grow from 1996 - 2007 throughout work stress, home life dramas, schooling issues, community love and problems, etc.

7th Heaven and the Camden family was an idea pitched by writer/creator Brenda Hampton to many networks, in the end, Aaron Spelling took Brenda's idea and the WB accepted to air it, just so few episodes were enough to make the big time people decide to keep airing it, 22 episodes down in one season was successful enough to bring on a 2nd season and then so on and so on, being able to celebrate a 150th episode already, we look forward to celebrating more milestones with the show as it remains with ratings of roughly 23.9 million viewers an episode. It is now known as the longest running family drama on television. 7th Heaven is truly 'Seventh Heaven' for some strong supporting and loving viewers.

The 7th Heaven Household THE 7TH HEAVEN HOUSEHOLD:
The show's household is a moveable set based on a sound stage in a studio lot of Santa Monica, some people say the sound stage  use to be a shower curtain factory. The set's sound stage is also referred to as a warehouse-like building. The reason being is simply because so many people are involved with creating + producing 7th Heaven and contributing their work for it to stay on air that they need a large area so all the equipment will fit in. During Season One we saw the family enter many changes. During Season Two we saw the family make some rash decisions. In Season Three we lived through seeing the family adjust to those decisions and in Season Four we watched them grow up, In Season Five we managed to watch the family make temporary decisions with radical surprises, in Season Six we saw the Camden's go through drama, love/marriage, hope and many changes. Throughout Season Seven we were introduced to new characters, saw marriage, love, new life, new success, community problems dealt with and more arising concerns for the Camdens. For Season Eight, it doubles, we see dreams reached for, happiness, drama, shock, love and hope as many of the Camdens have grown up alot and continously face new experiences.

The Outcomes THE OUTCOMES:
As we grew up, so did 7th Heaven. The show was continually renewed for season after season and now that it's reached the tenth season, it is time for all GREAT things to come to an honorable ending. Success wasn't ever much a concern for the show, as it always reaped in the ratings each week. Despite all different speculated reasons to the ending of this beloved show, we can carry on with life knowing we watched the longest running family drama on television and thoroughly enjoyed witnessing every episode. The memories live on...
